Reimagine LA Foundation
Reimagine LA Foundation was founded in 2020 as a response to the civil unrest and global pandemic, which amplified calls for systemic change across the nation. Co-founded by Rashad and Raul, our organization was envisioned as an incubator to drive inclusion and empowerment for indigenous, Black, and Brown communities. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our mission is to partner with communities of color and the nonprofit sector to create social impact through strategic funding, fostering social innovation, and a dynamic approach to philanthropy. We advocate for and advance community-led solutions to address deeply rooted inequities and injustices. Since our inception in February 2020, Reimagine LA Foundation has swiftly become one of the leading foundations serving urban communities in Los Angeles County. We are among the few organizations specifically dedicated to empowering and serving BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities throughout the region. Through the generosity of our sponsors and donors, our community grants program has successfully invested nearly $100,000 in supporting local programming, grassroots initiatives, and charitable efforts led by small, community-based organizations. We are passionate about bolstering inclusion, civic empowerment, and driving sustainable change through collaborative partnerships and capacity-building efforts.
